Children’s semester classes (ages 7+) run for two hours, while our week long Clay Camps are three hours and introduce the basics of clay each week, allowing families to sign up for the weeks that work best for them.

Our kids classes and camps (ages 7+) are designed to introduce young makers to clay in a fun, supportive environment.
Students explore both handbuilding and wheel techniques while building confidence, creativity, and foundational skills.
Clay camps run weekly and cover the fundamentals each week, allowing families to choose the weeks their child would like to attend.

Our beginner classes and workshops are designed for anyone new to clay—or still building confidence with the basics.
As a general guideline, this includes those with little to no experience, or less than a year of prior practice. If you have some experience but would like a refresh, we recommend starting here— your teacher will meet you where you are. If you’re unsure, this is the right place to begin!
Working with clay can take different forms. Wheel throwing tends to have a steeper learning curve—requiring time to develop coordination, centering, and control—while handbuilding (using techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab construction) is often more intuitive and immediately accessible. Both approaches are taught with care, and students are encouraged to explore what feels most natural to them.
All Levels classes are open to everyone, including beginners. In each class, instructors begin with foundational demonstrations for newer students—such as centering and pulling walls on the wheel or building with slabs and coils—then expand into more complex forms for those who are ready. Each student is met where they are, with guidance tailored to their experience and pace.

All Levels classes are open to everyone, including beginners. At the beginning of each class, instructors start with foundational demonstrations for newer students—such as centering and pulling walls on the wheel or building with slabs and coils—then expand into more advanced forms and techniques for those who are ready. Each student is met where they are, with guidance tailored to their experience, interests, and pace. Our instructors are experienced in teaching mixed-level classes and thoughtfully adapt their curriculum to support each student’s individual growth.

Advanced classes and workshops are intended for students with at least one year of consistent experience.
Participants should be comfortable with foundational skills and ready to focus on refinement, efficiency, and more complex or larger-scale work.
